Lazy Sunday

Happy Halloween everyone! I spend my Saturday night dressed up as a murderous vampire/witch/doctor- who-slices-peoples-guts at a Halloween party. Tip of the day: always host parties in someone else’s house. No mess, no cleaning up!

I might not have to clean up after the party, but I do feel the aftermath in my little head, auwch. So today is lazy Sunday, and that calls for casual wear. Also, I’m really messed up by the whole winter hour thing, so after writing this post I’m crawling back into my bed. I did step out of my PJ’s and went outside to snap some shots for you guys though. Good blogger.

inside

I loooove T2 and its crazy sales. I dropped by on €2-day and found this supercosy chunky cardigan and perfect patent leather pumps. Subtotal: €4. Yay. The cardigan has a thick knit and the weirdest green colour. I’m actually still not sure if the colour is rather cool or totally repelling, but it’s warm and cosy so I like.

Now I’m off to school for my last lecture of the week. Ah the college life.

some happy thoughts

Saw this over at Taza’s blog and thought it would be nice to list the things that made me happy this past week. Life passes by so fast that it’s sometimes good to stop and be grateful about the happy moments. So here we go:

10 things that made me happy this week
1. Watching old movies while drinking hot chamomile tea
2. Coming home and finding presents on the doorstep
3. Picking out the best Halloween costume. Wondering what I’ll be? You’ll see.
4. Spontaneous nights out (I went bowling. ànd played snooker. Two sports in one night, I’m good for another half year now.)
5. Spending an entire afternoon at Ikea, observing customers (for a class. really.) and buying scented candles
6. Bright coral lipstick
7. Digging into a 1000 page book for my film history class and finding it surprisingly interesting and fun to read
8. Watching reruns of MTV’s The City and drooling over Olivia Palermo’s perfect wardrobe.
9. Stumbling upon lovely new blogs like The Daybook and A Beautiful Mess
10. Arranging some pretty cool giveaways for you guys. Curious? I’ll let you know reeeaaally soon.

What made you happy the past week?

On the pictures: colourful flowers at mom's place and two of the cutest little kitties sitting under our livingroom window.

Fall leafs

It's getting colder by the day, and although I like this kind of weather and the warm and cosy clothes that go with it, I hate dressing up in the morning. It is way too cold to get out of bed, it is way too cold to undress/dress and it is way too cold to hop on my bike. So either I just stay in bed or I dress as if I was going on a fieldtrip to the North Pole. Don’t ask me what I’ll do when real winter kicks in.

MOLAMI Launch | Renaissance Antwerp

E N T E R A W O R L D W H E R E S O U N D I S W E A R A B L E

Luxury concept store Renaissance Antwerp was the décor for a highly mysterious and intriguing launch of new kid on the block Molami. Mola-what, Mola-who? Molami designs premium headgear that doesn’t only guarantee the best of sound, but also features exclusive fabrics and materials. Molami merges fashion and electronics, and this mix works surprisingly well.

Molami headphones are not your typical run-of-the-mill headphones, that’s for sure. With its luxurious materials, innovative style and breathtaking details Molami headphones are tailored for those who value the importance of personal style. And be honest, don’t we all want to walk around listening to our favorite tunes trough a device that matches our personal style, rather than through generic drugstore-bought headphones?

True, those average headphones are a bit easier on the bank account. The Molami prices range from 150 euros for earplugs to 400 for the headphones, prices that might set you back a bit. But if you can afford them, these magical musicmakers are a treat for your ears – and eyes.

Wanna buy? Get your Molami gear exclusively at Renaissance Antwerp (Nationalestraat 28-32) or on Molami.com (as of the 1st of November).

If the launch party is a parameter for success, Molami is going to be BIG. The presentation was being held at Renaissance Antwerp, a huge concept store in the heart of the fashion district, that oozes international luxury. I had never set foot inside the store before (being a poor little student on a budget and all), so I was quite overwhelmed upon entering. A giant white store with the most amazing designer pieces on display = I like.

As always I met up with my blogbuddies, did some sightseeing (or better peopleseeing) and browsed through the store. On the pictures below: My friend Niña and me drooling over all the prettiness, Nathalie and her pretty skirt - Gilles and his dandy bow tie - Kim and Paulien in what seems to be a stare-off ;)

After the presentation by beautiful Molami designer Maria von Euler it was time to see the headphones in action. Enter Uffie, DJ and part of the Ed Banger-crew. I was beyond excited as I’m big fan of her live performances. At this time she treated the public with a DJ-set, but at the afterparty in Club Magic, she went all out and gave a proper performance. Molami headphones: tested and approved.

BIGHT - €150
features black and white napa leather with 18K gold accents, as well as black and white stingray with silvercolored accents. The white stingray model is limitededition, and only a small amount have been produced.
TWINE - €300
My fave, so innovative! Available in black or white colorways, with silver colored or 18K gold accent.
PLEAT - €400
Pleat is available in black and white colors, and comes in rich napa leather with 18K gold accents.

Urban Outfitters BXL opening

Who doesn’t love Urban Outfitters? I know I do! I drop by the Antwerp store on a weekly basis, and I often have to retain myself from buying all the pretty dresses, vintage shorts and cool accessories they sell. As of late Antwerp isn’t the only Belgian city to have an UO store. The Brussels store opened its doors last Thursday, and I was there to attend the press preview. I immediately fell in love with the beautiful building and its pastel coloured walls. Brands like Pins+Needles, Cheap Monday, Fastfood, Anglomania by Vivienne Westwood and See by Chloe form a nice mixture of styles and price ranges. The gifts and gadgets at UO always make me happy, so if you’re looking for a fun birthday present or an original Christmas gift, you now know where to go!

Urban attire

Earlier today I hopped on a train to Brussels to attend the new Urban Outfitters store opening. Antwerp’s no longer the only Belgian city to have an UO store, so as from now expect even more urban cool silhouettes walking down the streets of Brussels.

My report of the store will be up on the blog in a few days (the store is beyond beautiful!) but in the meantime here’s finally another outfit post, shot in the streets of Brussels by the ever fun Absolutely Mrs K. Thanks dah-ling!
