Spring might not be as close around the corner as we hope, but this cold will pass and temperatures will rise eventually. A change of season requires some changes in your wardrobe, and the s/s12 runway collections are looking particularly awesome! Pastel coloured jeans, a crazy printed skirt and an Aztec sweater are just a few of the must-haves for upcoming season. Want to look on-trend without having to turn to bread and water for the rest of the year? Ditch the designers and go for the affordably translated trends at River Island.
If there’s one thing you can’t do wrong this season it’s prints! Forget the rules, forget the stares: this season prints are meant to clash. Be bold, be daring, be fun. Mix your stripes and polka dots with tropical prints and Aztec patterns for that I-don’t-care-I-look-cool-whatever-I’m-wearing look. Take notes from Marni, Jonathan Saunders and Mary Katrantzou and shop the more affordable version at River Island.
Pistachio, lime yellow, blush pink, pale blue and lavender: this summer is all about pretty pastels. Let out your inner child and dress like your favourite ice cream! Louis Vuitton’s pastel-coloured s/s12 collection is ALL the magazines are writing about and ALL the bloggers are talking about, so why not try it yourself? Don’t worry; this look doesn’t have to come with the high price tag: drop by River Island and get your pastel on!
Because one can never have enough prints (at least not this season), we’re keeping our navajo and aztec printed items from last season and pairing them with other ridiculously cool patterns. Yes you can recycle your last season buys, but that doesn’t mean there’s no room for pretty new stuff, right?
1. Cream Navajo Fluorescent print Jumper
2. Aztec print Culotte shorts
3. Yellow print dip hem dress
4. Blue aztec Rucksack

Which of these trends will you be rocking next season? And what are your must-have items that’ll guide you trough spring and summer this year? Oh and are you competing in the blogging contest? You should, I’ll keep my fingers crossed! xo
