Outfit: Lace Stripe Sparkle

10PM on the night before my fourth exam. *Pling* “Hi, wanna take some quick outfit snaps?” *Pling* “Sure, see you in five”. I’d just finished the last chapter after an entire day/week/month of studying, so I could use some fresh air. I met up with miss Polienne in front of my building, and she looked at me with a weird expression on her face. “Is thàt what you wear while studying?” she asked. Well, ehhm, yes, it seems that way. Most of the time I wear sweatpants – or crawl behind my desk still wearing my pyjama’s – but it was a warm day and I wanted to walk in my new pumps, so I opted for lace shorts and a stripey knit. Right before heading out I added a very reflective and equally dysfunctional clutch and the neon necklace, ét voilà, daytime study-look turned into night-time outfit. Simple comme bonjour!

Hair | Feathered

FEATHERS ARE THE NEW BLACK. If it would be acceptable to make statements like this in the real world, I’d totally scream it through a megaphone (caps are the next best thing). Feathers. They’re everywhere fashion-wise, and now they’re in my hair too. It seems I’m kind of fed up with my hair as it is, hence the dying and feather-adding. What’ll it be next? Who knows, but for now I really like the bohemian feather-look. Thoughts?

Life: Off to London

I just handed in my very last exam of this academic year (which went kinda bleh) and am now very ready to rekindle the long lost love affair I used to have with my bed. But before I engage in a 20-hour nap fest, I wanted to brag/let you know that I’m leaving for London tomorrow. Just like last year, I’ll be participating in the Regent Tweet event, which I'm very excited about.  Last year was a blast and I LOVE London, so I'm sure good times will be had. Outfit: June gloom prevention

In a Balenciaga state of mind

I was planning on beginning this post with a fairytale-like intro about some girl who falls in love with a magic handbag and together they go on all kinds of wonderful adventures and live happily ever after, but mid-exam stress started taking its toll so writing a somewhat witty bit won’t be happening anytime soon. Let’s just skip the fairy dust and evil stepmothers and get right back to reality. 

I’ve done my fair share of frog-kissing when it comes to bags. I almost always went with bags that were okay-ish but didn’t knock me off my feet, so might now be the time to go for my Prince Charming? I believe so! They don’t come in cheap, but if the other options are sleeping for a 100 years or going to live with 7 midgets, well then, I’m willing to drop some cash to meet my Prince. 

I first fell in love with the Balenciaga motorcycle bags when I saw a pic of the Olsen twins carrying around their sea foam First Bag in 2004. That's 8 years ago. Talk about a commited relationship! The bags rock in bright colours, but I’m thinking it’ll be a better investment to go for a more muted, timeless colour.
