Lazy Sundays on Wednesdays.Yes Please.

Hooray for Wednesdays that feel like Sundays. Last week we had the delight of enjoying one right in the middle of the work week. The first of May – or Labor Day – was the perfect sunny day for strolling around the city, visiting the botanique and doing some serious people-watching from a bench in the sun.
Thanks to the holiday, the Vogeltjesmarkt, that usually takes place on Saturday, was now open on Wednesday, twice as big and twice as crowded. Not that fun to stroll around, with the shouting salesmen and a bunch of people tip-toeing from stand to stand. I do suggest visiting the market on a Saturday, when it turns the entire Theaterplaats into an exotic market place.
We quickly traded in the busy market for a bench in the sun, but not before stopping by a puppy kennel and gushing over all the cuteness. Puppies make everything better.
What better way to spend one of the first sunny days than surrounded by blooming flowers? We stopped by the botanique, an oasis of green in the middle of the city center – a must-visit when you’re in the city in springtime.
Casual days require casual clothing. I pulled out my burgundy chucks, which are currently on heavy rotation in my wardrobe again and brought along misses Balenciaga – without a doubt my favourite bag ever.
We ended our day of fun in the sun up on the balcony, in the company of my new Mango summerdress and yummy stracciatella icecream. More days like these please!
What do you love to do on warm sunny days?
