A surreal shopping experience: that’s exactly what Maasmechelen Village is offering its visitors this summer. The luxury outlet paradise is totally transformed into a place René Magritte would approve of, with giants sculptures of green apples, bright clouds on everything and black bowler hats everywhere. I love the fact that Maasmechelen Village isn’t only applauding contemporary Belgian designers, but great Belgian artists as well.
We had a delicious lunch in the newly renovated Italian restaurant, G&G. I picked the bruschetta as an appetizer, and went all out with a giant salad bowl and a parma and melon main course. A total recommendation! The one thing you can always count on when visiting Maasmechelen Village, is that there will be a new store with amazing things that has just opened up! New since my last visit were Bash and the Scotch & Soda kids lines: R’belle and Scotch Shrunk.
My favourite stops are the Nike Factory Store, Majeand Michael Kors for small leather goods and time pieces. Looking for a fun and arty destination for your summer shopping? Head to Maasmechelen Village, you’ll love it! Plan your shopping trip here and be sure to let me know what you thought of your visit.
