Right in the middle of my previous place and the brand new apartment is the Rosier – a small street close to the city centre, the best shops and the tastiest restaurants. If you ring the doorbell of house number 10, you’ll find yourself at one of the best B&B’s Antwerp has to offer. Lucky as I am, I had the opportunity to spend a night there to experience what Rosier10 is all about.
If you’re planning a trip to Antwerp (which would make an awesome x-mas present!) I strongly suggest you book a room at this place. Why? I’ll tell you….
Staying at Rosier10 truly feels like a homely experience: I was greeted with a smile by owner Roxxanne, a fun and friendly girl who runs this B&B all on her own. ”My home is your home”, she told me, and at home I felt! The Scandinavian feel of the living room and kitchen are totally inspiring and ooze a relaxed atmosphere. Cosy up on the couch and read a magazine or settle down around the big breakfast table with your laptop. Go up the stairs and into one of the four rooms: the Matin, Midi, Soir and Minuit. I stayed in the Monuit; a dark room with green details such as the tiles around the bath, the little bench and the teacups. I had a hard time not tucking that awesome lamp on the bedside table into my suitcase before checking out.
The Stop The Water bathroom products are a cool detail: no oldfashioned miniature shower gels but big bottles of natural washing gels. The giant bed in the middle of the room drew my attention immediately, and I had a hard time stepping out of that thing in the morning. The cosiest of cosy pillows and blankets made sure I had a good night’s sleep and was totally ready to enjoy a yummy breakfast. Because of the limited capacity, you’ll never eat breakfast in a crowded or noisy room: when I came down around 8, I shared the breakfast table with one other guest. Owner Roxxanne brings you your favourite morning antidote (coffee, tea, fresh OJ and eggs in all ways possible next to a varied breakfast buffet!).
Such a cute and fun detail: when I arrived at my hotel room around 10PM, there were multiple cute phrases written across the mirrors. “You don’t need sleep to be a beauty” (spoiler alert: I do). A really fun way to come home after a long day of work – or in your case, hopefully shopping and sightseeing :)
If you want to experience a night at B&B Rosier10, head on over to their website and book your room of choice. I totally recommend staying here when you’re in town for a Christmas weekend or short getaway.
