How is everybody doing with their good resolutions? We’re well into the second month of 2015 and I bet you had a resolution of the sporty sort on your list. I know I did, and I’ve been trying my best to keep it, mostly by excercising indoors. But sometimes you need a little push, and a brand spanking new work-out outfit might just do the trick! The recently opened Nike Store in Antwerp is the place to go to when you’re sporty self needs as little restyling. I went there before you, and I ran home totally inspired and energized, wanting to sport my new goods asap. A Nike expert helped me find the perfect work-out gear and was more than willing to answer all my work-out wardrobe related questions. The right shoes for every sport, from indoor exercise to plain outdoors running. I did a running test on the treadmill to see how I run and to check which parts of my feet get the most pressure – very necessary when you’re picking out new running shoes, because this way you’ll end up getting a shoe that really complements your body. Turns out I’m super neutral and don’t have a particular deviation, which means I can pick almost any shoe I fancy. Yay. After the running analysis, the Nike expert guided me through the jungle of sports bra’s. One simple measurement was all it took to find my perfect size and support level. Nike really has some kick-ass beautiful sports bra’s, and they’re super comfy as well as fashionable.
What am I wearing?
I was lucky enough to take home the Legendary Lava Leggings, the perfect pair to accompany me at the gym. Its slightly higher waistband keeps in place even after your 105th squat, and the firm fabric gives you a secure, comfortable feeling. Not to mention the very out-there lava-like print of these leggings: definite showstoppers! Find them online here.
Where to shop?
Of course you can’t wait to run to the store and compile your own original Nike work-out outfit. Place to run to asap is the new Nike superstore on the Meir in Antwerp. Centrally located (in the former Disney store btw), this amazing two-story shop houses everything you need to train your ass off in style. A Nike expert (insider information: they are called EKIN’s!) will assist your with a gait and bra analysis, so you’re sure to find the right pair of shoes and top. Sporty chique, yes please!
