My love for Levi’s has been the subject of many an article before, and today is no different. Except that I’ve recently learnt how to take my affection for denim one step further: by creating a personal and customized piece.
The Levi’s store in the Kammenstraat in Antwerpen has a dedicated customizing nook inside, a counter with jars filled to the brim with skull studs, quote patches, strips of fabric and a whole lot of inspiration. I visited to give my beloved 501 cut-offs a cool update. Right in time to wear them to the music festival Pukkelpop. I’m not the more-is-more type of gal, so I opted for a little understated customization. Lots of rips at the seams, my initials patched on, and a little stud to finish it off.
How would you customize your own pair of denim? I plan on giving my denim jacket an update – I’m thinking lots of patches on the back. How would you give your denim favourites a second life?
