Vintage Store Episode Back in Antwerp

Hooray hooray, lovers of vintage band shirts, 501 cut-offs, big fur coats, revived leather skirts and worn-in trainers have cause for celebration, because secondhand sweetheart Episode is back in Antwerp.

The well-known vintage store closed its Antwerp chapter back in 2011- it was then located on the Vrijdagsmarkt. Sad faces all around, because Episode stood for affordable, well-selected and very hip secondhand fashion. Many a vintage store popped up in Antwerp, but none could really fill the void that the departure of Episode left. Now, four years later, Episode is back and right around the corner from where it used to be.

The two-story vintage walhalla has a great selection of sport sweaters, band shirts (hi N*sync), vintage denim, maxi dresses, Versace-esque shirts, bags, shoes and accessories. I remember visiting the Dutch store in de negen straatjes and thinking that everything was a little bit overpriced, but the price setting seems good now: 12 euro for shirts, 22.50 for a pair of Levi’s cut-offs, 20 euro for a leather pencil skirt, 17 euro for a mohair sweater, … The big difference with other secondhand shops and a big plus for me is that the sizes of the items are smaller, not everything is majorly oversized, dresses are tailored and items are generally a lot more wearable than at other places.

I asked if I could take some pictures to share on my blog, which I couldn’t, which is booh, but I highly suggest you stop by to check out their selection.
