New week, new outfit post! Here’s the full look featured previously in this post. I ordered the sweatpants on DefShop, and although I think they’re really cool, they were also quite tricky to style. The connotation of sweatpants is usually either sporty or lazy, two polar opposites and two adjectives I didn’t want my outfit to convey. And so the search for items to tone down the sporty without looking sluggish began. When in need, I always find answers in my light denim shirt. The serious fit of a shirt with the casualness of the denim fabric helps to restore the balance in this outfit. And although the white wedge sneakers might scream sporty spice, the blazer in the same fabric and colour as the pants help to tie the look together and transform the sweatpant/sneaker combo into a rather classy, casual and semi-sporty look. Yeah, I tend to overthink things.
I’m wearing: sequin sweatpants from Only via DefShop, denim shirt from Pull&Bear, jersey blazer from Zara, Balenciaga City bag in gris poivre, watch by Marc by Marc Jacobs and white sneakers from Nike via Spartoo schoenen. Pics by Polienne.
