The beginning of July marks the start of festival season – Rock Werchter is opening today and an amazing amount of other music festivals are up in the next few weeks. I had the pleasure to start of festival season at Couleur Café: together with Zalando and some of my favourite collegue bloggers we danced the night away at Brussels’ cultural festival. But not before picking out the best festival outfits and getting ready together. I’m happy to be able to share this fun night with you guys – ready? Here we go!
I selected my favourite festival pieces on Zalando – quite the task, there’s SO much! I opted for a cute playsuit by French Connection (which is on sale now, 44% discount!), an awesome pair of Le Specs and golden sandals by Buffalo. Unfortunately Belgian weather wasn’t on our side, and thus I went with a more ‘covered’ option of ripped jeans and a crop. Scroll down for more festifash inspiration.
We all got ready together – probably my favourite part about going out! The hair stylist turned my locks into a curl-and-braid do that Blake Lively would be proud of, the ProNails experts painted my nails a mint green colour and we had a few cocktails to get us in the mood. Brussels, bring it on!
Nails did, hair did, everything did – totes ready for the drive to Brussels. Us girls were totally blown away when we saw our ride: an awesomely retro Volkswagen Samba van. My guy friends were hella jealous when they saw me posing with the thing on Instagram, but I was mostly glad that the car got us to Brussels safe and sound. We definitely arrived in style!
We watched De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig perform, enjoyed all of the goodness the cultural food stands had to offer and had some more drinks. By now the weather had cleared and it was finally time to enjoy the festival to the fullest. We danced, laughed and had fun, and I can’t wait to do it all over again at the next summer festival I’m attending.
Not quite sure what to wear on the festival fields? I compiled some of my favourite festifash, all easily orderable from virtual playground Zalando. For even more inspiration, check out this festival edit.
