Sometimes I reminisce about how my blogging adventure started, and I chuckle about how seemingly easy everything was back then. No stress about numbers (I was happy if 5 of you guys read my blog back then), not having to plan elaborate shoots (just me and my tripod in my backyard) and not overthinking content (I just went with whatever I felt like writing, without the “you cannot believe what happened next, click here”-vibe in the back of my head). It was so much fun back then! Don’t get me wrong, I still love blogging and wouldn’t still be doing it if that wasn’t the case, but when I turned this space into a real company, some things inevitably changed. What I absolutely love about these pictures from today is that they were shot in under 5 minutes with a small camera, no heavy-lensed DLSR, shot whilst actually crossing the street. They are oh so very real and came together effortlesly, which is a pleasant change from the “need to plan a shoot because in need of outfit pics asap” hustle I too often experience. Do any of you bloggers feel the same? The struggle of having to shoot outfit pics, but then it starts raining, your battery is dead, your overpiced lens is acting up or there’s not a single soul in sight to take the shots.
Paulien and I shot these pictures with my new FujiFilm X70, proving that we’re still a pretty good team after all those years! So good to have blogging buddies that last throughout the years and the challenging atmosphere. Probably my fave thing about this business: meeting up with like-minded people to discuss, brainstorm and inspire. A review of this new fabulous Fuji will be up soon, because honestly: how good do these pictures look?!
