If there’s one thing about my appearance that is most important to me, it is undoubtedly my hair. It doesn’t matter if I’ve gained a few pounds, am underdressed or go out with a bare face: as long as my hair looks good. We all have our weak spots when it comes to beauty and body care, and mine are my locks. I like to pamper them, treat them to the best and most nourishing creams and conditioners, and visit the hair salon on a regular basis. I don’t like to color my hair too often (I’m still low maintenance like that), but the time had come: I was suffering from some bad outgrowth and needed a touch-up for my roots asap. I decided to go for the natural products of Aveda and booked an appointment at MoNa hair salon and spa – that’s right, I drove all the way up to Mechelen to get my hair done, which turns out was the best thing I could have done!
Owner Stijn and his team of experts treated me to a relaxing afternoon of me-time, with a complementary hand massage, head- and scalp massage and of course gorgeous locks to booth. I asked for a fresh look with a slight 70’s vibe, so we colored my hair in a natural shade and cut the lock around my face a little shorter. Result is a refreshed coupe that is totally me, full of life and volume. And even weeks later, I have the same result after washing and styling my own hair – love it!
My favourite Aveda products
Getting your hair colored and cut by professionals is one thing, but how you treat it at home is at least as important. I got a few key products for my hair type to treat my locks with, and I love how they nourish and add to the health of my hair. Shop all items here.
